Jeff1
Hello All, I will need to rent a pickup truck actually in Korat. Does anyone have information where I can rent one ? Do they also provide insurance, for a fee of course. Will my international drivers license be suffecient ? If you have names, locations , phone numbers..websites (doubt that one ) or prices Please let me know. How about a Thaivisa discount Thanks, Jeff

dutch
I already used 3 years in a row Budget. They have limited availability in Korat but if you book on-line (like I always did) they make sure you will get what you want. My car is always delivered to hotel in Korat very punctial and never had any problem.

Spellbound
Try and re-calculate your numbers. I rent a Toyota Camry for 1'800 baht a day including ins. Like I said b4 dont book on the net, and get a Thai to call direct, you will save a small fortune.
Jeff1
Yes , Im sure. I wanted to rent the truck ( Toyota , seats 5 , 4x4 , not small ) for 43 days. Budget computed it on their site.
dutch
Hi Jeff1, If my calculation is correct than you pay about 1750 baht /day. Normal tariff for that size I believe.
Jeff1
Yes sir, X 43 days = 75250 bath It looks like I will either have to buy a truck , I wanted to buy one next year. Or get the guy who drives in my wife's familys village to haul me around . That and Tuk Tuk most short distances again . Oh well
Willi_S
i rent this toyota-pickup from a small car-dealer for BHT 5.000,-/week. she is located on road no. 205 >chayaphum, 2-3 km´s outside the city. left side. but i don´t know to much about the insurance from this car, because she is a good friend of my GF. i think, you can check some small car-dealers for low-cost rent. Jeff1
Thank's Willi, That might be the best way . Rent from a friend or go looking around. 5000 baht a week is large cash to some . But it's very important to have insurance. No im NOT a salesman
