Marine Police captured illegal immigrants from Myanmar

Marine Police in Ranong province arrested 16 illegal immigrants from Myanmar yesterday (Jun 12). The immigrants claimed that they entered Thailand to visit their relatives in Ranong.

Later, the immigrants from Myanmar confessed that the smuggled into Thailand from Ko Song province in Myanmar because they wanted to find jobs in Ranong. Officials however discovered that they did not have the legal documents allowing them to enter Thailand.

All 16 immigrants were sent back to Myanmar accordingly.
