Jai Dee
Metropolitan Police arrest 4 Myanmese suspects with 750 g of heroin The Metropolitan Police have arrested 4 Myanmese suspects with 750 grams of heroin hidden in their shoes. Investigative officers from the Metropolitan Police Division 1 report that 4 Myanmese suspects were recently apprehended after officers found 750 grams of heroin hidden in their shoes. Authorities received intelligence from informants that narcotic transporters from Myanmar are conducting narcotic sales in the Phayathai (พญาไท) district and therefore arranged for a sting operation, resulting in the arrest. The Deputy Commander of the Metropolitan Division 1, Pol Col Chanthawit Ramsuth (ฉันทวิทย์ รามสูต), revealed that the narcotic situation in the Metropolitan Division 1 jurisdiction is increasing in severity due to less law enforcement manpower available for duty, as most officers are currently posted at Sanam Luang to monitor demonstration groups. Pol Col Chanthawit reports an increase in narcotic activities for all drug types.
