suegha
Is this some sort of 'difficult' puzzle? Coz the obvious answer (as stated by lannarebirth) is just too obvious!

Cos there's one pound more in 1997 than 1996! There's no dirt in any hole - it's a hole! Any more?

Lickey
Perhaps my mispelling of language put some of you off, sorry about that, but all right so far! try this one, Can the husband of a widow living north of the Thames legally marry his aunties daughter living south of the Thames? baabaabobo
The husband of a widow is dead! Twenty years ago, a plane is flying at 20,000 feet over Germany. If you will recall, Germany at the time was politically divided into West Germany and East Germany. Anyway, during the flight, TWO of the engines fail. The pilot, realizing that the last remaining engine is also failing, decides on a crash landing procedure. Unfortunately the engine fails before he has time and the plane crashes smack in the middle of "no man's land" between East Germany and West Germany. Where would you bury the survivors - East Germany or West Germany or in "no man's land"? Edited August 24, 2007 by baabaabobo
Lickey
Dont think the survivors would like to be buried anywhere just yet A 10ft rope ladder hangs over the side of a boat with the bottom rung at the surface of the water, there is one foot between rungs and the tide goes up at the rate of 6in per hour, How long till 3 rungs are covered? baabaabobo
Never - the boat rises with the tide. Here's an old one: While on my way to St. Ives I saw a man with 7 wives Each wife had 7 sacks Each sack had 7 cats Each cat had 7 kittens Kitten, cats, sacks, wives How many were going to St. Ives? Lickey
To take over 2nd position would put you in second position! I saw in the Bangkok Post a few days ago that an archaeologist claimed to have found coins dated 107BC, what are you thoughts on this one?

Not enough info to do this one! Bricks are 1 ft long, assuming they are 1 ft wide as well as tall, ie a 1 foot cube, the answer would be 1360 bricks. But this seems too easy! ps Also, does the house have no windows and doors?

Lickey
Kojac is right, Two planes leave Chicago and New York at the same time,Assume a 1000 mile distance,The eastbound plane travels at 240 MPH but due to head winds the west bound plane can only make 80 MPH, when they meet, which is nearest to Chicago? Lots of info here, but can you suss it?
wpcoe
At the time they meet, they are both the same distance from Chicago.
Crossy
At the time they meet, they are both the same distance from Chicago. Or the bits resulting from the mid-air are approximately the same distance from Chicago Actually if they meet nose to nose then the eastbound plane will be slightly closer, for a few milliseconds anyway. baabaabobo
If they "meet" especially nose to nose would that not be a mid-air collision?
