libya 115
SOURCE: Pattaya People: September 9th 2007 Man Commits Suicide by Drinking Rat Poison Just before the weekend a sad case was reported to the Banglamung Police that someone had committed suicide. We went to the scene of the house where this incident was reported and found the body of 42 year old Mr. Songkran Rangsawai on the floor in the living room. Apparently he had taken rat killer liquid and that killed him instantly and there was no time to give him any treatment. Relatives stated that he had just recently separated with his wife and has low income, which left him in a state of depression. The Sawang Rescuers took his body to Banglamung Hospital and his relatives will most probably go collect his body for religious proceedings. wpcoe
...and his relatives will most probably go collect his body for religious proceedings. Yup. They most probably will. They most usually do. Gawd, I love the "style" of news writing in Pattaya!

libya 115
Depressed Man Dies In AgonyApparently he had taken rat killer liquid and that killed him instantly Which one is it? Good question. And why is it 'horrific'? It is not melodramatic to report the lone suicide of a human being, by self-administration of rat poison as 'horrific' is it? 'astromash'? libya 115
Depressed Man Dies In AgonyApparently he had taken rat killer liquid and that killed him instantly Which one is it? 'mr_hippo'......... Rat poison whether ingested by liquid form or by solid form causes an agonising death within approximately three hours. Strychnine, the alkaloid component of rat poison causes dreadful symptoms of poisoning in humans. If it is taken with a cocktail of benzodiazapines, then non-visible (yet equally horrific) suffering might have occurred. I would warn you, and other readers of this T.V. thread, that suicide by rodent poison is not comfortable or wise. Seek counselling if {you} are depressed and suicidal. Thank you for your understanding.
mr_hippo
First of all, you say that he was killed instantly, now you say that it can take up to 3 hours - make your mind up!
JetsetBkk
First of all, you say that he was killed instantly, now you say that it can take up to 3 hours - make your mind up! The original story was: Man Commits Suicide by Drinking Rat PoisonJust before the weekend a sad case was reported to the Banglamung Police that someone had committed suicide... http://www.pattayapeople.com/default.asp?F...;IdArticle=7414 I guess libya115 likes to spice up the headline a bit - would you have read the story if he hadn't? So, in fact, you disagree with some statements in the story. This wasn't clear before. Now I understand. Cheers.
