wolfmanjack
Obviously it varies with the number of hours worked, experience, language abilities. I don't have a sales staff since i mostly deal with export and handle all of the sales myself. My wife has a shop at the night bazaar and she pays from 6,000 to 9,000 per month plus 1% commission. No need for a car.
fletchsmile
Just tried posting a note, but the Thai Visa forum went down.. - Really will depend on your business, industry, location, job etc. If you give more details people will be able to help better eg have seen from a few thousand a month to few hundred thousand and more with bonuses -You don't have to advertise salaries with jobs here. It's common to ask people for current and expected salary. These help you weigh up whether you can afford/want them or not. - Companies often require degrees. Personally unless a specialised industry, I find it means little. The best sales people as everywhere, enjoy their job, are motivated and eager. Have seen some with degrees from good families who don't need the money. They get paid say 5k a month plus commission and could realistically earn 20k+. But that's peanuts to them, so they're not motivated by the money. The people with families (including extended) and kids can be much more motivated. One company I worked for had a receptionist earning 10k who drove a Merc. She was actually very good and enjoyed her job, but wasn't motivated by money at all. So bear in mind the people working for you could be much wealthier than you. Wealth distribution here is very uneven. - Also depends on your management style and philosophy. I like to pay 2nd quartile. i.e above average. But I expect above average perfomance and to hire above average people. I don't aim to be top quartile for remuneration, as this risks attracting themoney grabbers and in Thailand in particular there's always someone with larger pockets youcan lose them to. That said in some industries particulalry unskilled and large labour supply, I've seen people do well paying the minimum. ignis
Senior Sales, basic 10,000 per month + .2% commission after sales target is reached [3.4 million per month] on the 3rd month, 16,000 paid each month for expenses, New pickup every 2 years, fitted with GPS and max km per month not more than 6,500km Therefore true monthly take home = 21 – 22,000 baht
soundman
My pro audio business employs one full time sales staff. We pay him a 6,000B per month retainer with a performance review / bonus schedule at the end of every month. He averages about 13k - 15k per month. On top of that we provide accomodation, meal allowance, pay for all fuel & for kilometres driven (his own car) & client entertainment budget. VocalNeal
pay for all fuel & for kilometres driven (his own car) Approx what does that add up to and is there a "stardard" rate per km. I pay mine 10,000/mth for using own car. I figured if the cost is more than that she can strive a bit harder, take it out of her commission and still be ahead. At today's fuel prices - about 5B to 5.50B per kilometre. Fuel, insurance, wear & tear & depreciation are all included in the price.
