Eerie transvestite visitor causes a stir

27-News-14.jpg

The Classic Inn in soi 16 was the scene of a ghostly incident when Korean resident Mr Jong Yong Kun, aged 35 and an internet shop owner, woke up with a start to see a strange figure in a red dress cavorting in his room and acting suspiciously near a pair of trousers hanging on a chair.

Mr Jong told officers he was sleeping alone in his bed and when he heard his door creaking which is a sure sign somebody is coming in. Putting on his glasses, he realised that the lady in red was actually a khatoey which wasn’t difficult to spot as he had big feet and a male visage. The unwelcome figure was clearly light fingered as he managed to lift a thousand baht note from one trouser pocket and 50 US dollars from the other.

Mr Jong said he enquired of the spectre “Who are you?” but there was no reply as the figure fled into the night. Police discovered that Mr Jong’s next door neighbour was a khatoey, 24 year old Mr Payoon Klanket, but he’s a bar worker in soi eight with a regular wage and without any reason to resort to underhand tactics. In any case, he had no red dresses.

Police are concentrating their attention on another ladyboy called Mr Pom who had visited the Korean earlier that night and then returned for richer pickings. Inquiries in the case are continuing.

"male visage" is that the current euphenism for meat and two veg?

The Korean is a trusting sort of guy, sleeping in a Pattaya hotel and the door not locked. :D
