LaoPo
So when will the wife stand trial? She was on trial and in prison but not for long. The last judge found it more important that she could take care of her children instead of being in jail... But, she is not forgotten and there will be a follow up; the priority is with Anupong Sutthani - convicted and sentenced to death- (boyfriend of the then-wife, Marisa Prommana). zigistar
I dont get it why the police cant find him,few weeks, months of phonetaps on his friends and close relatives is prob enough to find that scumbag,i could be wrong but i doubt it. Anyway i hope they will find him and he get what he deserves as do his wife ofcourse...the only guy in jail is basicly a poor tool used by his sister,i know he killed alredy somebody else(maybe also an order from his sister) so ofcourse i dont feel bad for him but its sad to see that the real murderers are still free. LaoPo
All I can say is that I hope to be informed further by the Odekerken family although I fear that there's not much news about the murderer-on-the-run and Jules' ex-wife. If I hear something I will post it here. LaoPo

LaoPo
Have his family offered any kind of reward for his recapture? No, I don't think so and to be frank, right they are since personally I don't believe in this kind of system in Thailand. Where do you start ? Who is to be trusted, the Police, the Detective around the corner, the expat eager for cash or the taxi driver who spotted him on Walking Street ? Reward? If you shout the word Reward xx thousands of people will react and will tell you where to find him; they're only interested in money. not the real case. Has anyone heard of any case that a reward-wallet worked out positively in Thailand ? hmmmm..if anyone knows I'm curious to learn about it but I doubt it....VERY MUCH. LaoPo
IMPORTANT NEWS! The message below is a translation from a message by the esteemed Mr. Colin de Jong in his Dutch „Thailandblog". Mr. De Jong was, and still is, very familiar with the case, helping and assisting the Odekerken Family in this tragic murdercase in Pattaya already 7 years ago in 2003: The Jules Odekerken (Murdercase) lawsuit against the widow of Jules Odekerken will resume (in Pattaya - LP) this month on October 26th, 27th and 28th. There, the Judge will most likely come to a judgement about Marissa, the widow of Jules Odekerken who was brutally murdered in a horrible and bestially way in Pattaya in 2003. Both assassins, including her brother and ex-lover, a former mayor (in SE Thailand - LP) , were sentenced to life and death. The latter was released on bail and flown to this date and is untraceable, probably hiding in Burma, the present Myanmar. MURDERED But, finally, after 7 years it's Marissa's turn to stand trial because she will face some serious evidence to show that she is complicit or at least had knowledge of this bizarre murder. The now very wealthy Marissa has four children who are now picking up the tab. But the law must take its course in this case for our friend and former newspaper publisher and Rabo Bankman Jules Odekerken. He was a wonderful man, hardworking and a loving father to his children. It is too sad for words that such a kind man was robbed from his life on such a mean way by a bunch of sharks and that's why I fought fort his case, together with the family. THE LAW MUST PREVAIL - JUSTICE HAS TO BE DONE It is a sad coincidence that I had an appointment with Jules at the time of the murder. That's hard for me to digest and I am very concerned about this affair and will not give up before full justice has been done. After previous publications and calls for witnesses, I have also been threatened, but a pitbull has no fear for cockroaches. After a fierce battle with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Dutch Embassy in Bangkok the follow up for this murder case finally started „rolling", four years AFTER the murder !! I have great sympathy for the Odekerken Family for their commitment and determination to go to the very bitter end and to try and have justice done and prevail. I will keep you informed of this important issue for me in my life. Those who I have called for the first time trial are again welcome and to support Jules' sister Marina (NOT to be confused with Jules Odekerken's wife/widow who's name is Marissa and the accused woman - LP) who will explain what a wonderful man Jules was for his family and friends. Marina will be called in court in Pattaya on October 26th and 27th and after that, on October 28th, witnesses for the other party, likely been bought because the other party has previously made contradictory statements. Your compassion and sympathy will be greatly appreciated by the family and they thank you in advance. The starting time will probably be around 10.00am (Oct 26th – LP) and you can ask at the desk in which room the trial will be. Together we are strong and let's hope that the dirty game will finally come to an end and that justice will be done.
