The Bangkok Expats Club is all about “expats helping expats”  - and all nationalities are very welcome. The first Expats Club was started in Pattaya about one year ago. Their first meeting had only 4 people. Now up to 100 members join their weekly meetings. They have more than 300 members from many different countries… and growing. More than 1,000 people from 30 plus countries receive their weekly newsletter. To learn more, visit their website:

Yesterday another Expats Club started in Khon Kaen: “Expats Association of North East Thailand. Object: An association formed to “watch our backs”; provide advice on medical, legal, banking. business, etc. They don’t have any website yet, but read invitation  to their Inaugural Meeting can be read at this blog: www.bangkok-expats-club.blogspot.com

More than 70 foreigners attended the meeting. They came from all over the Nort and North East, and even one guy came all the way from Bangkok to support ther first meeting.

Don´t be a "closet foreigner" -- join us today!  We need to elect a Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Club Ambassadors, an MC,  editors, writers, knowledgeable people, specialists, volunteers, guest speakers, business people, etc…

I just found you and registered.  I am not in BKK yet, but will be at the end of August.  I have been on vacation in Thailand many times so I know my way around to a degree but recognize that things will be a lot different as an expat.  I hope this forum and the meetings after I get settled will help me get through the transition.  Thanks for your timing.
