george
Thailand offers chickens for Russian arms Bangkok: -- Thailand, its huge poultry industry stricken by bird flu, wants to pay for Russian weaponry with chickens, said Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. Thaksin said he had ordered his ambassador in Moscow to offer Thai chicken for Russian weapons and that he would consult with military chiefs on what arms they wanted. "Our chicken exports have been hit by bird flu," Thaksin told reporters on Tuesday. "When we can't sell in our traditional markets, we need to penetrate new markets by bartering. We can't leave all this chicken in Thailand." Thailand, the world's fourth biggest chicken exporter until the industry was ravaged by bird flu early this year, has never exported poultry to Russia. --Reuters 2004-09-

sriracha john
http://www.backwoodshome.com/articles/hooker47.html LOL@website. If the recommended AK-47 is good for killing garden pests... just imagine what a grenade launcher could do to those pesky varmints. Have to say I'm disappointed they don't advertise any small yield nuclear warheads.... Thank GOD those lamebrain NRA members don't have a presence in Thailand. Up2U
The intention is surely for the Russians to give food-aid to Chechnya? Next it'll be the Sudanese distributing chook to Dharfur.
sriracha john
But I also heard today thet he was going to swap some chickens for chinese tanks as wellWhat is he going to offer for the spare parts ??? Don't need spare parts... The whole idea is just to offload his business buddies chickens. It doesn't matter what they get in return. If necessary, they can just park the Chinese tanks underneath the abandoned Hopewell project eyesores as a pop art display. Actually, they should put all remnants of lamebrain projects there, e.g. various hub plans...Thai Elite cards...various Culture Ministry initiatives, etc. etc. ad nauseum. Create a sort of "Salute To Bad Ideas" exhibition.
