In short, I would have allowed the constitutional court to find a way to validate the election in spite of the Democrat Party in a handful of districts exploiting loopholes that made their boycott so powerful it effectively stalemated everything... Democrats had nothing to do with elections were declared invalid, and even less so with TRT commiting blatant electoral fraud. They themselves rigged the EC database, they themselves bribed people to set up phony parties, they can't blame Democrats for their own crimes. And for that kind of electoral fraud TRT had to be dissolved, with or without the coup. That makes claims that Thaksin was "legitimate" a bit shaky. What would you expect any leader to do when law & order and 15 years of relative democracy is under siege by military thugs with guns??!
