The Vulcan
Well spotted. Lovely composition. I like it a little tighter and more saturated.

Nordlys
So do I. But in exchange you lost the detail of the face of the vendor in shadow you can hardly see his expression now.
The Vulcan
You're dead right. Missed that one. Better?

Nordlys
You're dead right. Missed that one.Better? Contrast of the parasol is definitely better but still a lot of detail lost in the plants, bucket and paint cans, not to mention the saturation of high light area (white shirt, but possibly already lost in the original shot). But I'm sure you could have retouched it better if you did it out of RAW file (this is why I insist on RAW).
astral
I am using some of these images to build up my skills with SilkPix. The more I use it, the more I like it.

Nordlys
I am using some of these images to build up my skills with SilkPix. But isn't your SilkyPix a RAW to JPEG converter? BTW can you do dodging and burning with your version of SilkyPix?
astral
SilkyPix is a lot more than just a RAW to JPEG converter. It works well with JPG's alone. Adjusting exposure, white balance, rotation down to fractions of a degree (a grid is imposed to get the levels correct. I am about to try the perspective tools on KanWin's Lights photo to see what can be done there. All the great things I learned about in the darkroom years ago.
