Anongwan wants govt to restart Klong Dan

Waste of time, money to dump the project

APINYA WIPATAYOTIN

Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Anongwan Thepsutin wants to dust off the controversial Klong Dan waste water treatment project in Samut Prakan, saying that it would be a waste to abandon it. Construction was suspended by former environment minister Prapat Panyachartraksa in 2003 following complaints about corruption. Court action against some of those involved, including veteran politician Vatana Asvahame is under way.
