razor
One of the requirements to obtain a O-A retirement visa is proof of 800,000 baht in a Thai bank, or proof of a monthly income of not less than 65,000 baht. My questions are. ( A ) does the monthly income have to be shown to end up in Thailand..? ( what type of proof is normally required to show a monthly income..?, ( C) what sort of checks are done by the immigration to confirm that the monthly income is correct..? ??? george
A. Yes, the income must be transferred into Thailand monthly. B. Your Embassy in Bangkok must certify the monthly income, so you must convince them with evidence. C. They initially believe the certification from the Embassy, but the following year you must show a letter from a Thai Bank/copy of Thai bank book that the amount has been brought in. Some farangs manage to have the same 65,000 Baht coming in to Thailand and the same 65,000 Baht returned to home country every month, to be retransferred back month. TiT.
