rafval
I'm hoping to get a job teaching very soon. This week Im going to Singapore for a few days and will try to get a tourist visa while there. Is any particular visa needed or helpful to get a teaching job and work permit? Thanks
Loaded
you can obtain a work permit if you have a non-immigrant O or B visa. Most commonly teachers obtain a non-imm B with the paperwork provided by an employer or TEFL course provider. Singapore will probably only issue a single-entry non-imm visa provided you have the correct sponsor documents. You can arrive in Thailand and look for work with a tourist visa, but if you want a work permit, you'll need to obtain a non-imm visa and that involves leaving the country.
