It is a small up country town like any other, one main drag and many little side streets with all of the typical places, although I don't think you will bump into too many farangs. My wife comes from a small village about 30km from Phichit town. We've visited the town a number of times, mostly for cheap eating for the family. Really nothing there for farangs - there may be some Thai-style karaoke joints but certainly nothing Western-style that I am aware of. The one 'major attraction' is the crocodile park - live crocs and a big concrete one. Feeding the crocs is quite exciting but you might not want to do it more than once. Take a good book with you. Any hotel / Pub / Bar recommendations Sorry, I know very little about P'lok except for the airport, the major store chains on the east side and a couple of the major temples.
