100 Rai Wanted In Korat, Buriram Or Surin

Recommended Posts

Guys, do any of you know of a plot of land around a hundred rai (give or take a few) for sale, with chanod, near a decent road with elecric nearby???.......I have a friend wanting to buy now in either Korat, Buriram or Surin province; he isn't so fussy as to where so long as the price doesn't exceed 40,000 baht per rai & it meets the other criteria.

It doesn't matter if there are 94 or 107 rai???, so long as there's around the hundred mark.

Any leads appreciated, please PM with details if you know of anything to suit.

Cheers.:o

You be unable to purchase any land that borders onto h24 (the major Highway) anywhere in these provinces now for less than >100k a Rai, and only if they need the cash yesterday.

Land is always for sale off it but with elec, chanod, landfill, 40k is a dream now. Rice land now maybe, but not in 6 months.

With the price of rice increasing, the price of farm land - (with no papers ) is rising 10% per month -- IF YOU CAN FIND BUYERS - as people here can not afford to buy land now - only "borrow"

Farmers who are cash rich will control the local market & perhaps destroy your crop.

Speculate somewhere else.

I am well aware of the price/location situation. If you re-read what I said originally you will see that I did not state that I was looking for land alongside the highway, already filled nor did I say I would be growing anything for others to destroy! Rice paddy will be fine providing it meets the criterea stated.

I am asking on behalf of a friend who is looking to buy @ this price land that is 'near' a road & an electric supply. Of course, I am not interested in looking at land in the middle of nowhere only accessible by a helicopter.

Thanks Joe. Nothing big enough I'm afraid, but that 63 rai plot by the main road @ 40,000 a rai looks good!

There is quite a big plt for sale. (think it is about 80+ rai) on the along the 219. Driving from Burriram to Satuek it is just past the junction where you turn right to Chomprah. It is right in the corner of the junction and stretches both along the 219 and the road to Chomprah. Land is partly riceland, partly higher grounds with a dirtroad diagonal through it. Forget the asking price because it has been a while ago since it was offered to me. I remember after the first asking price it went the Thai way, because I did not react too fast I got another call where the price already went down whit the remark that even that second price was negotiable.

On the same road just past Burriram airport coming from Burriram on the lefthandside there is a big piece of land for sale. That one is at least 150 rai. All higher land no riceland. Easy to recognise because in the front there are some old lower buildings on it and a high building obviously used for storing harvesters or loaders. They were offering the frontage part for 300k some time ago Don't know what the average price would come out at if the whole plot would be bought. I remember they were willing to also sell part of the lot.

Thanks gondarman. Sounds good. Will check this out Monday. Are there any phone numbers posted in these plots for contacting the owners?

Didn't I see circa 105 rai for sale on the right hand side of the Prakhon Chai to Buriram road ?

Land is near a temple and has a narrow (22 metre) entrance before it widens out. The dirt track access road is adjacent to the temple and is owned by them.

From memory the price was in the order 37,000 baht per rai and was for sale by agents with 3 initials, starting with a "B" ? - sorry, I am back in the Uk now and forget all the details.

Thanks Ray, I have already looked at this piece, was offered it for 30k/rai, just too far down down the narrow dirt track.

Communicate with Yen at Isaan Properties (see the banner above).

She will ask around to find you some land, as we did for many clients.

I followed this thread with interest a few months ago to see what was happening with Buriram land prices.

I am back in the US now with my Thai wife from Buriram. Anyone know what is really happening in Buriram regarding land prices.

Talking with her family from time to time, she has been told that people are selling and trying to sell farm (rice) land for 100,000 baht per rai, is this really happening? I am talking about farm land that is maybe 7 km outside of Buriram town off of route 288 (road to Satuk), so it's very close to town. One plot she talked about is over 70 rai and another Thai gentlemen would be glad to accept 100,000 baht per rai for 13 rai of farm land that is in the middle of other fields. At these prices, it would probably take 50 years to break even on a land purchase.

She also told me that a neighbor sold land by the new school being built at the junction of route 2074 and 288 was sold for 1,000,000 baht per rai (yes, 1 million...and I don't believe it either!).

I personally take this all with a grain of salt, because all the village folks just talk and there is no real way for me to separate fact from fiction from where I am.

If anyone has any updated information I would certainly appreciate it.

Farang stay away from buying land asks your GF or wife to buy. You cannot own it, it’s a present to wife GF.

Use it as a sin-sod put the money up before marriage on the stipulation it is to buy land killing two birds with one stone, use the head.

You will gain huge face and prestige with family and parents are more than happy to return to buy land.

Some farangs have bought land at outrages prices and have driven up prices. This is what I’ve been told.

Land I was looking at 2 years ago at 24th rai baht now is 150th rai

What I do see now is a lot of sons and daughters returning home with no work and no prospects

Of getting work, no money coming to family so prices may come down, don’t hold your breath.

There is at times an attitude if you won’t pay the asking price forget it.
