phutoie2
Started raining last evening around 7:00 PM and has not stopped, looking bad for some residents in the Moo as drainage not coping. Many houses below the level of the Soi's. Pa Sak river is less than 2 km from here as well, in previous years bad rainy season's it has come up just short of the town across the rice fields. The locals are still smiling as most of them had their rice cut a few days ago. Concerned of "Phu Toei" - (South Petchabun Province) Edited September 12, 2008 by phutoie2
Thanyaburi Mac
Started raining last evening around 7:00 PM and has not stopped, looking bad for some residents in the Moo as drainage not coping. Many houses below the level of the Soi's. Pa Sak river is less than 2 km from here as well, in previous years bad rainy season's it has come up just short of the town across the rice fields. The locals are still smiling as most of them had their rice cut a few days ago. Concerned of "Phu Toei" - (South Petchabun Province) Yep, was up to our wee bungalow at Wang Muang, 27 km north of Muak Lek, Saraburi, yesterday. Emptied the rain gauge of it's 2.5 inches (over three days) of water. It started raining lightly about noon, in and out until about 1800 hrs, then steady but not very hard. Gauge had 2.2 inches by 1800 hrs, then this morning a full 4.2! Left there at 0930 hrs via hwy 3188 from Wang Muang down towards Kaeng Khoi, hit heavy traffic there at KK going a few km north to the U-turn about km 124 where the former toll building is. Real heavy as the Sarabury bound lanes of the Friendship Highway were closed due to flooding, all that traffic was routed to the normal north bound lanes. Thus the normal north bound folks were required to stick to the two lane side road. Oh, well, only took an additional 30 minutes to make the U-turn and be heading south again.
