Golden Nugget
Been putting off buying a 35L for my Canon 5D until the next trip to Thailand. Well, the trip is just around the corner and I still haven't purchased one. Any recommendations on where I can rent one in Bangkok?
astral
FotoFile has the 35mm f1.4 lens listed for sale at 46,500 baht. That is new. Nothing on the second hand list. Not sure if you will be able to rent a piece of glass like that.
Kf6vci
http://www.studiosota.com/studiosota_index2.html these guys are professionals. You might opt for a medium format camera as well, they have a great selection of high end gear. FYI, I have been buying lenses on eBay.com and sometimes I need to have the goods shipped to a friend as some sellers won't send out of the country. Good luck! Kf6vci
Hello again, I checked my source and found 2 zooms costing $ 40 each. But not the 1.4/35 mm. Would you be needing the fast lens? I found the open aperture to give substandard quality. Most lenses have their peak at 5.6 or 8.
Nordlys
I think it's the "L" quality he's looking for. Don't forget to bring your passport and ask for VAT refund should you decide to buy it in Bangkok.

I'm only looking for the 35L. BTW, I would never buy lenses on Fleabay.
motoyen
Does FotoFile rent lenses or only sell? I'd like to rent a Canon 10-22mm if I can find it.
