animatic Posted December 15, 2008 Share Posted December 15, 2008 Current MP vote count for PM:Abhisit - 233 Pracha - 197 The minimum of 219 needed has been met and Abhisit is Thailand's 27th Prime Minister. by a bit more than Chalerm's predicted 8 to 10 votes. *Cue new thread 430 total. Seems more than a few didn't show, what that means for governing is unclear. It would be curious to see the demographic make up of the no shows. Some no dount didn't want to be labled so didn't show, just in case. Others to try and hobble the dems hopefully. But in the end getting a majority while having a quorum is what REALLY counts. D Day, and hopefully a new calmer begining for the Thai people. And hopefully a sufficient repudiation of Thaksin to back off things a bit.
