This single vehicle accident resulted in the death of three people and injuries to a further 5 people inside the car, including 3 children. The car was driven by Khun Griengai aged 35 who was bringing his family from Pijit Province in the North of Thailand to Sattahip for a Sports Day for staff of the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives. It appears that the driver fell asleep at the wheel according to those who survived the crash. The Bronze Isuzu D-Max pick-up then collided with a pylon in the central reservation.
