Poo Bao

I've heard Poo Bao a couple of places what does it mean? For example, I hear it in this song:

Plern pleng pinh : เพลินเพลงพิณ

One of my sentimental favorites ... yet, I'd love to know what the ###### the song's about!!! I think it's in Lao cause I can't understand squat when I listen to it.

PS - 'Hoo Bao' (gullible) I know well ... guilty as charged. :o

เพลินเพลงพิณ "pleun pleng pin"=musical entertainment performed on Indian lute :o
PS - 'Hoo Bao' (gullible) I know well ... guilty as charged :D

หูเบา "hoo baow"=credulous

Could you write down the other word in Thai? :D

Cheers,

Hmmm...

Hoo Bao (lit. Light Ear = Gullible)

Poo Bao? I have never seen it in writing. The song I refered to is on the CD - Track #11. I'm not sure that helps much. Good CD though. Thanks for the help.

ผู้บ่าว is Issan forผู้ชาย , a good way to learn some Issan is from VCDs of morlam or ลูกทุ่ง but with morlam the words pass so fast it's a job to keep up. Full marks to singers like Jintala Punlarp, Siripon Amphaipon, Chalermpon Malakham, etc, god knows how they remember all the words.
