Basically its still the same since they re opened, you take a number and stand outside the THAI Embassy in the hot sun for hours before turning in your application. One friend needed a NON IMMIGRANT O for support and he received only a 90 day one entry, even after begging for more entries. The other guy received a TOURIST 2 entry visa. The wait is 2 days unlike the "ready next day tip" that used to be in effect a few years back. The interesting thing is the motorbike drivers swear the travel agents in PP can take care of the ENTIRE PROCESS and hand your passport back to you finished within the SAME DAY.
