sbk Posted March 22, 2009 Share Posted March 22, 2009 Chanthaburi dredges more canals to prevent flooding and tackle drought problemSource: Royal Thai Goverment Date: 18 Mar 2009 Phlap Phla Narai District Municipality, Chanthaburi Province, today (March 18) hastily dredged more canals in the district in order to tackle the drought problem and prevent flooding during the rainy season. The Lord Mayor of the District Municipality, Nattawat Ruengchokechai, today (March 18) led a team of workers to dredge canals in the district behind the Khlong Toei Village for a total distance of over 3,000 meters. The Mayor added that the dredging would help tackle the drought problem and prevent flooding in the areas during the rainy season.
