Kanom

I'm not really into fishing, but thought this information might be of interest to some of you here. About 6 years ago I spent a week in Kanom .. north end of Nakorn Si Thammarat, about 60 km east of Surat Thani. I happened into a fishing tackle shop and was really surprised at the amount, variety and apparent high quality of the tackle.

That made me curious so I asked around a bit. Someone heard about the farang asking questions about fishing and a fellow that spoke pretty good english showed up. Apparently, lots of boats take anglers out for overnighters .. and they claim great catches.
