sbk
Ancient utensils found in Chanthaburi CHANTHABURI, 5 May 2009 (NNT) – Ancient utensils, aged over 2,000 years were discovered in an agricultural land in Soi Dao District of the eastern Province of Chanthaburi yesterday. The relics were buried at 40 centimeters below the ground surface in an agricultural land of Mr. Banjong Somya, 55, a tapioca farmer. Most of the ancient utensils were found to be in good condition. Water bowls, stoves, potteries, bells and beads were dug up along with other small pieces of metal. Initial examinations by archaeologists suggested that the metals were of Bronze Age, more than 2,000 years old as well as those potteries. It was assumed that the area of Soi Dao and other districts of Chanthaburi Province were the site of ancient civilizations of many eras. However, in-depth examinations would be conducted by experts again. -- NNT 2009/05/
teachermark
I wonder if this story will arise again in another 2000 years when archeologists dig up the thousands of Styrofoam food containers, plastic bags and cups thrown into the lakes, streams and landfill???
