alex100 Posted February 12, 2005 Share Posted February 12, 2005 Title Senior General Manager - Thailand Description Our client is looking for a General Manager to run a Composite Distribution Centre based in Thailand, and designed to support a majority French owned retailer. The retailer operates a growing network of 40 Hypermarkets across Thailand, with a small number of convenience type discount stores. The purpose built distribution centre currently comprises 360,000 sq.ft. of storage, with room for 250,000 sq.ft. of expansion. If offers capacity for ambient, plus three (fresh, chilled and frozen) temperature ranges, with 37,000 pick locations, handling 1000 suppliers and 8000 plus SKUs. It employs 380 local staff on an operation handling 100/150,000 cartons and 160 trips per day. Sectors Warehousing & Distribution Locations Overseas Experience Required Candidates must have at least 5 years prior experience of managing large scale retail operations of at least a similar size. You must be culturally sensitive, and have ideally had some previous experience of working in Asia. The ability to converse in English and French would be a distinct advantage.
