hamishgillan
Hello, No wonder I haven't come across many Thai swear words, 'hia' or 'i-hia' is the only one I have heard after 5.5 years which I think means you are-as stupid as an iguanadon that does nothing but sit on a tree branch and eat flies', easier to say in Thai! (correct me if I am wrong). But there are lots of english profanities when translated into Thai- If you called a Thai man a 'poo', (crab), I'm not sure he'd mind that much. How about Krap, Pee, Porn. Only really thought of this because of Mr. Tossa-porn, mentioned in this recent article- http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Battered-Tou...en-t273768.html He should only use his nickname if he ever goes to the UK! Just a bit of fun really, please feel free to share your thoughts....
longstebe
Be prepared to be closed down. I'm always up for learning new words but certain people don't like it.
Apecks
Plenty of them listed if you really need to know them. I would not advise using them though http://www.insultmonger.com/ Edited June 17, 2009 by Apecks

hamishgillan
I imagine it will not be long before I meet a taxi driver called Mr. Turd. Edited June 17, 2009 by hamishgillan
MiG16
profanity and insults are against forum rules plus the language of the forum is english (although there is a thai language sub-forum, the purpose is to learn thai for conversational and other practical purpose. I dont believe insults and swear fit into either category)
astral
Plenty of them listed if you really need to know them. I would not advise using them though http://www.insultmonger.com/ This http://www.insultmonger.com/swearing/thai.htm does give a pretty comprehensive list, but not for polite conversation. Thai names can give pause for thought, but then perhaps your name has a different meaning in Thai??
