delta7
Hi, Does anywhere sells multi-region blu-ray players are available in Bangkok? I know that they are readily available in the UK from companies such as Multiregion magic. Cheers
astral
Whoever decided to lump SE Asia with the US for the coding?? Details here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu-ray_Disc BTW there is no regional coding for games, only films.
Benjie
You will also have to watch out for their standard DVD regionality (is that a word).
Magoomba
I have been troubled by this myself as at Fortune Town there is a shop that sells heaps of Blu-Ray disks at a competitive price. I am not sure of the compatability to the players. As the players have just come down from 25k to about 16k, my interest is once again sparked. In Power Buy in Central Rama 3, they had a player for 16k which they claimed in Thai script it would play all formats from all parts of the world. There is another electrical shop on about the third level there that sells the Toshiba units for about the same and also claim they are region free. Maybe I will go to Fortune and buy a test disk to see if my investment will be well spent or not. My other trouble is that Blu-Ray disks to make my own movies from my HD Camcorder are still very expensive, and I have not found anywhere to get them at a decent price.
