webfact Posted November 6, 2009 Share Posted November 6, 2009 3 drug suspects killed in shooting with police in Chiang Mai Chiang Mai - Three drug suspects were killed allegedly while resisting arrest, police said. Police said the three opened fire at police when police were about to arrest them at a spot on a road in Chiang Dao district at 7 am. Acting on tip-off, police staked out at the spot and saw a ma driving a pick-up truck to meet two teenage boys on a motorcycle with a huge back. When police came out and wanted to check the bag, the three opened fire at the officers, leading to a gunfight for about 10 minutes. The three were killed at the scene. They were later identified as Lao-ur (surname unknown), Withoon Leryipa and Siengchun Saelee.
