(he was followed from the house) YES! ..... he was hiding something -- this is a qualified "yes" ..... see Hint #2 below: he wanted to hide something, but it was not what one would expect, such as a gun, or weapon of sorts etc.; he was trying to NOT SHOW something. Note: in an earlier answer to siamesekitty, I mentioned as a hint that there was supposed to be to be something in the briefcase that represented adequate and correct payment -- but there wasn't! And now that qburns has raised a similar point I would like to clear up this: what should have been in the briefcase was not there instead the man gave the woman a briefcase full of money.
