Tejas
american food? what's up american food speciality? spaghetti and sugar?? hamburgher??naa... change style.. ) My guess from your post is that you have never been to the USA. As a "melting pot," it should come as no surprise to discover we have everything in terms of food from all over the world. Hard to say what is "native" to America. Turkey and dressing? Chicken fried steak? (that is actually made with beef) Hamburgers (yes, I know they did not actually start in the USA, but we modified them so much they are American) Apple pie (yes, close to some German deserts, but again we modifed it) Smoked BBQ (again, you can probably trace it to Europe but what you find in America is not the same) Pumpkin pie (not sure if that can be found outside of the USA) So many types of food......it is a great place to get fat! Thailaw
I am gonna go with Santa Fe Steak. Is that the Santa Fe Restaurant in Prachinburi, Nakon si Tammarat, or Khorat? If the goal is to provide enough information so that an interested reader might actually be able to find the place, a city and a street address would be really helpful, as Mr. Moran did in his post above. Thanks. Oh, and my favorite restaurant is Lek's Restaurant -- very good food and reasonable prices. Cheers, Edited March 15, 2010 by Thailaw
powderpuff
Santa Fe Steak is commonly found in the bigger & better malls. So for you it's Central Festival or nothing. Good luck finding Central Festival. Somewhere near Soi 8 or 9.

New England Clam Chowder, Cajan food, Soul food, Creole, Tex Mex, the list goes on and on. The food in America is as good as any other country.
