2 Year Work-permit, What Is Needed To Get A 2 Year Versus A 1 Year?

Hi,

That time of year again, my assistant has just returned from the labor department in Bangkok and has told me that in order to get approved for the 2 year workpermit the company needs to have 50,000,000 Baht is yearly income. Last year during the renewal they asked which one we wanted, 1 or 2 years, and we were told it was up to the person signing if you get it or not.

Has anyone received an actual set of criteria for getting a 2 year versus a 1 year work-permit? I'm married to a Thai, and have had a Work-permit for 15 consecutive years

I have so far only seen 1 report from a member that he received a 2 year extension of his WP. Try the search function.
