mallyrd
Unless its a fairly high end handphone I would tend to write it off. I had wine spilt over my Nokia 8800 and the repair cost as much as most run of the mill handphones.

mrclough
This might sound a little silly but have you tried letting it dry out and using it? May need to replace the battery and the sim but more often than not you can get away with it, sometimes without the need of a new battery. I know this from experience.
