Unless its a fairly high end handphone I would tend to write it off. I had wine spilt over my Nokia 8800 and the repair cost as much as most run of the mill handphones. :)

i use a shop near the bottom of wuluai road to sort out all my phones and mobile connections to my laptops

hes about 30 ish , speaks a little english , charges almost nothing and has never failed me yet

if your in the turn right lane at the traffic lights as if going towards all the pet shops .

look directly to your right and you will see a shop with two open sides right on the corner

thats it .... hope you get sorted ... dave2

And so is mine. The repair costs were, for me, worth every satang.

This might sound a little silly but have you tried letting it dry out and using it? May need to replace the battery and the sim but more often than not you can get away with it, sometimes without the need of a new battery. I know this from experience.
