Supersport Channel

Recommended Posts

Hi there

I'm up here for a couple of weeks from Bangkok and would like to know some places that show the Supersport channel. I think the so-called Irish pub may have it as I recall watching some cricket (never shown on True Visions) there in the past. Anywhere that also has sound / commentary would be ideal.

Thanks for any suggestions

rumour is that the signal for supersport will cease end of may/begining of June, just in time for the WC

i have supersport at home but i notice the live 20/20 games i cant get, but delayed coverage seems to be ok

its probably due to all the mad indian cricket fans that have a hack into the supersport satellite

super 14 rugby, football, tennis, boxing & most other live sports seems to be fine

i not sure what i will be doing once supersport ends here :)

Really hope it's nothing more than a rumour!

However I could still do with a list of places in CM that have it, for the next 2 weeks at least.

Cheers

If it is South African. It WILL be gone. end of May. Apparently there is something like 30 million "illegal" viewers in India alone.

They are going to switch off the satellite feed.

i think its fact now, anyway not much we can do about it

as for a list of places

in no paticular order

* Sports Bar, on the 4th floor Changklan Plaza, next to D2 hotel in the nightmarket, they have a few flatscreen tvs and a modern decor

* UN Irish bar, ratchawiti rd? popular with the expats

* Tuskers nice bar with garden shows all the sports as well, popular with the TV crowd, a TV sponser, click for details

* Red Lion nightmarket, mentioned here many times

*Ole Bell Loy Khroy rd, a TV sponser

probably many others, but they the main ones

be aware most are limited to what they show and most/all close before 2am

Thanks for the info donnyboy.

Forgot about the Changklan Plaza place, I'll give it a shot.

Feel sorry for any places relying on Supersport to bring in the customers.
