pieandmash
I'm going to Nang Rong for a wedding in June having never been there before, I'm wondering if there are any bars in town that will be showing World Cup games or would I have to go up to Buriram to catch a game. happylarry
If you are looking for a ferang type bar then you will need to go to a bigger place than Nang Rong, so Buriram would be your best bet or if you wanted to travel a bit further then Korat also. puchooay
There is a bloke named Fritz from Derby,UK that has just opened a small place facing Nang Rong bus station. Nothing to write home about but he has cold beer and UBC/True TV. World cup will be on there.

happylarry
I'll be watching at home in Korat but just out of interest will all these bars be staying open until 3-30 am to show the late games? HL
pieandmash
Thanks for the replies the place run by a fellow Englishman sounds promising, although to be honest I'm just as happy being the lone Farang in a bar. Just remembered something, I've been told that True will only be transmitting the World Cup on it's HD channel, So unless the bar has HD it won't be showing games I guess. gotlost
Check out http://www.harleysprasat.com/. About 68 KM east of you on highway 24. At the intersection of 24 and 214. Next door to Harley's is one hel_l of a western deli Gary's. Give it a go.

HL I'm told there's a Thai style bar called Pop Sok "100 yds before the road into the bus station" that shows football. I'll just be happy to watch the England - Slovenia game with a beer in my hand, anything more is a bonus.

MrJay
Posucks is right where u say it is.Its a rundown dive but the majority of the areas farang go there to watch the footy,u shud be ok there just for the match n cold beer.. fitz's place is much better around the corner he usually has the footy on with good falang grub at half times its a good atmosphere n around 10 plus english lads.I know hes had probs with his sat connection lately but he shud have that sorted by then.
