Universities that cater to older students are common in the US, but I am not sure about Thailand. Are there any universities that specialize in older students? Many universites in Thailand offer "International Programs" tailored to foreign citizens, adults, and Thai who want to learn in English. Many of the students are older than your girlfriend at 22. Very cheap about (3000-4000 baht per year) and have an open enrollment policy. Most busy adults attend this school. They also have a very good International Program. Don't you find that the standards here are a lot worse than from a western country even in these programs. I'm almost finished my masters degree and its been a good experience, but if I was going to do it again I would definitely choose to do it in the west. Can sum it up in two words- Amazing Thailand. To be fair- a couple of my teachers are really great and I have learned a lot from them. The school on the other hand- is as descrived above! lost_in_isaan Posted June 14, 2005 Share Posted June 14, 2005 I agree I remember one exam I had, after 5 minutes the American dean burst in and delivered a 2 minute notice (apparently the best time because it was a captive audience). Meanwhile the lecturer is circulating around us helping answer questions and clarifying the meaning of the questions.
