Garry 554
Longer than I care to remember sometimes. Back on topic, made a good saving today. Mrs has been moaning with toothache for weeks and finally requested a trip to the dentist. Tooth pulled in less than ten minutes, 260B. I asked her if he couldn't drill/fill/repair it. I DON'T WANT! Jeez, some people. Here you are being a considerate husband. The audacity of a loved one to knock back some cost savings. I'm sure you would have worn a knee pad, to stop chest bruising as well. :jap:
Paul888 315
I think the Rimkok Resort's 140 baht lunch buffet (which I have now tried) should be in this topic. I don't think I have seen a better buffet for the price anywhere.

I don't think I have seen a better buffet for the price anywhere. I was informed yesterday that there's an even better buffet at the Hotel just down past Rimkok. I'll have to check it out. jubby 43
hey jub..i m looking for that brand..help me take note of price for both when u go there pls. just under 10,000 for the 9000 btu model, and just under 12,000 baht for the 12000 btu model. Got to be the best deal around for Aircon. You'd struggle to get fixed Aircon for that price, I don't know how many they stock, not many I feel but as the hottest time of year is behind us, maybe they won't sell like Hotcakes. sceadugenga 3,069
I've just discovered a program called Picasa. PhotoShop and PhotoBucket have gone out the door, this is the easiest most user friendly photo editing/storage program I've ever used. OK, PS and PB are great if you're clever but I'm not, and Picasa is made for dumb bastids like me. Just type Picasa into your search box and the free download will come up upon the menu. After you've had a play with your photos, like I've been for the last two days, start uploading the ones you want to share onto the Picasa website. Once they're there, just take the image location, and wee Geordie's yer uncle. Mountain village near Waa Wii

Phuadol Resort Buffet, 149 bt -- definately superior to Rimkok, only thing is no view of the river but one can go and view the MaeKok from lots of locations any time. Phuadol is owned and run by the family of Ta-wa-siwakit Supermarkets, and the boss (a jovial elder Chinese) is often there to personally welcome customers.
lannaman 14
Bacon ---- Saw today good looking bacon in BigC, TGM brand and looks like back bacon. Rather thinly sliced though. 107 Bt a pack. Don't buy it all chaps, leave some for Lman! Might actually whip in and buy up some more in the morning if I enjoy it for breakfast. It's located quite near the ice-cream freezers. sceadugenga 3,069
I spotted it last week, it's marked TGM Canadian bacon and is good stuff although cut rather thin. I note your promotion of the Phuadol Resort Buffet. At an extra 9 baht I'd expect it to be better. I may redirect my attention to it but will only have time for one as I'm a away to the land of the long weekend in a week.
svenivan 107
If I am in town around lunchtime (very selfdom) and I want to treat myself and my better half with something extra (even more seldom), we go to Wiang Inn hotel. I have never been disappointed, many diferent dishes, good sallad, some japanese stuff, fruits and icecream. I think it is still 140 baht. But try to be there before 12 because often they have conferances and lots of people come around 12.
