But Thai bars can be fun even if you don't speak Thai they will try to welcome you. A good ice breaker I would think in an area like that would be to buy a fwe pictures of beers and pass them around, thye will try to thank you nad talk to you. might br a great time. In an area like that they are going to be a little bit nervou by your presents. About a 45 Min drive to Udon plenty of farrang bars, but the road can be treacherous so if plan on drinking find a place to spend the night in Udon.
