I put the bike back together the other day. It took bit longer than normal to reassemble the back end, as I just needed to clean up a few items that hadn't seen the light of day (cleaning wise) since manufacture I would guess I'm pretty fussy with my bikes, so I actually pulled off more things to make sure all was good.

Went for a ride to Lampang yesterday. No problems with the bike or rider. Case closed :D :jap:

At the moment its just a room withg two walls having window access to the outside, all part of the main house. So plenty of air flow. Those tiles in the photo cover the whole ground floor of the house. When I get back in a few months it will be sorted out as a proper workshop with shelving, storage, work benches, air system etc plus of course Ducati porn posters.

My colleague just showed me some pics he took at Central last night, there is some sort of bike exhibition with examples from the 70's through to today, There were Harley Davidson, Ducati, BMW and a few others. Not seen it myself yet but will try and have a gander at the weekend.

The folk who own Kawasaki in Chiang Mai will open a dealership in CR soon so those with Kawasaki big bikes won't have to ride down to CM for service/repairs and those interested in a Kawasaki also won't have to go to CM to buy one. Of course it is a lovely ride down there but it'll be nice to have the choice :)

Before someone beats me to it, where is it? How about detailed directions from the clock tower. Better yet tell us how to get to the clock tower as well.

When will they be open? How much will it cost? Will it be cheaper than Chiang Mai? Will the service be better? Will they be the best in Thailand, the north of Thailand or just in Chiang Rai?

Will I get a pat on the back if I tell them I work hard? Can I take a different kind of bike there to be serviced? Will they be racist and charge farangs more? I have a million additional important questions but this is at least a starting point. :D

That is good News. Its a lovely ride but can be inconvenient.

I'm not far off a service myself might just clock up those last K's early next week with a blast to Nan if the weather holds.

I heard a rumour that they won't be selling Big Bikes, but they don't exactly have a lot of small bikes in the line up.

I heard they will mainly stock the very popular KSR and also the 125cc KLX and D-Tracker and will order the 250cc and 650cc bikes if anyone would rather buy in CR than CM.

They will have an experienced mechanic from CM visit who will be able to service/repair the big bikes, maybe something like every 2 weeks or once a month so will need to book I imagine. It is located between the big, new bookstore and PTT garage on the super-highway.

That makes sense Stu. forgot about that KSR.

A 6K service of my KLX isn't rocket Science So it'll be all good for me.

So anyone up for a ride to Nan , over nighter it'll have to be so I can smell the roses cruising about 90 kmh.

thinking about monday.

Some of the best roads on this planet and planet Zonk I here .

Didn't know you had a camera Stu..GoPro? I didn't notice it on the day we rode together. Probably a good thing

I don't, I chanced upon that video while researching the Versys. Looks like a nice trip, might try and do it in Oct.

Ah gotcha. I plan on getting a video camera, perhaps a GoPro, though I am leaning towards the GPS based Contour Video camera

All the GoPro videos I've seen have been great quality, even those taken at high speed. Does anyone make a red one? ;)
