sbaker8688
Anyone know where I can buy a converter or transformer or whatever its called in Chiangmai? I've looked around, but I don't know Chiangmai that well. Also, perhaps a water pick? Thanks.

lopburi3
I have never seen WaterPik for sale in Thailand but did get a combo Braun unit with both toothbrush and water pik at Robinson here in Bangkok. You might want to check this link for another brand sold here http://verasu.com/Eng_version/productdetai...productid=45637 Edited July 20, 2005 by lopburi3
ProThaiExpat
Central Department Store has a selection of electric tooth brushing aids and transformers. When I first go here, I bought a very large transformer for my computer and then didn't need it when told later my power chord covered both voltages. I have three or four black transformers that cost less than 100 baht and are about the size of a package of cigarettes. Most electric shops have them, so shop around until you get the size, shape and price you want. After three years here, I no longer have any need for a transformer. cm das
I bought a transformer at Icon 2 years ago (maybe 300 Baht) & a word of warning: I left it plugged in one day when I wasn't using it & I awoke from a nap to find it on fire! Smoke, flames, everything. Glad I was in the room when it happened. The transformer I have now is one that I brought from the states. In any case, you can bet I unplug it when it's not in use. Mali_in_CM
There's a real electrical supply shop which has about anything you need. Near ChiangMai Gate [south side] there's a half-left turn that heads toward airport plaze. Take it for about 100 meters and look on your right.
