The Transport Ministry has announced that it will take action against Airport of Thailand executives by October 20th, for mismanaging the Suvannabhumi Airport's parking system.

Permanent Secretary of the Transport Ministry Supoj Saplom, who is also the chairman of the committee overseeing the space and transportation system at the Suvannabhumi Airport, has met with executives of the Parking Management Company, concessionaires of the airport parking system.

The executives of the airport car park operator have submitted documents to the committee with regard to the car park controversy.

However, some politicians and officials have abused their authority, which resulted in the violation of the contract.

After the meeting, Supoj announced that the Airport of Thailand executives have mismanaged the parking system, which resulted in financial damage to the airport.

Supoj said that the committee will meet on October 19 to discuss the investigation report of the incident and submit recommendations to the transport minister on October 20.

Meanwhile, Transport Minister Sophon Saram said that the ministry will set up another committee to investigate the problems at the airport parking system in order to seek a prompt solution.
