News_Editor
Report: North Korea capable of producing more than 1 million chemical bombs 2010-10-13 19:41:16 GMT+7 (ICT) SEOUL (BNO NEWS) -- North Korea is capable of producing more than one million chemical bombs that could be used by the country in a surprise attack against South Korea, a report claimed on Wednesday. South's state-run defense research institute made the claim on Wednesday, according to Yonhap news agency. The report said North Korea has been developing chemical weapons for decades and can deliver them by using its long-range artillery which has been deployed near the border with the south. The report warns that these chemical weapons, which it estimated could be as many as 1.25 million chemical bombs, could be used against South Korea in a surprise attack. Tensions between the two Koreas have risen significantly since a March attack against a South Korean ship, which killed dozens of sailors. A South Korean-led international investigation concluded that North Korea was behind the attack. North Korea continues to deny any involvement and threatened with an 'all-out' war. -- © BNO News All rights reserved 2010-10-
