webfact
Chula to open learning center near Phuket Airport The world's economic focus has shifted from the West to Asia, Sasin director Toemsakdi Krishnamra said. PHUKET: -- Chulalongkorn University’s Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration is planning to develop a Sasin International Learning Center in Phang Nga to provide management education for both Thai and international executives. The project covers a 50-rai plot of land just 15 minutes from Phuket International Airport, an ideal location for business people willing to fly in for learning over weekends. Sasin director Toemsakdi Krishnamra said that because the world's economic focus has shifted from the West to Asia, the demand for quality managers in the region is expected to rise dramatically. Once in operation, the center will produce premium-quality business leaders to serve business growth in Asia. Professor Toemsakdi said this learning center project is the realization of Sasin's vision “to be at the forefront of graduate management study in the Asia Pacific region and among leading international institutions of management education”. An architect has already been hired and the project’s first phase is expected to be complete by the end of 2012. – Krungthep Thurakij -- Phuket Gazette 2010-10-
