News_Editor Posted October 25, 2010 Share Posted October 25, 2010 'Significant' tsunami generated following Indonesia earthquake 2010-10-26 00:11:04 GMT+7 (ICT) JAKARTA (BNO NEWS) -- The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center on Monday said a powerful earthquake off the western coast of Sumatra had created a 'significant' tsunami. "A significant tsunami was generated by this earthquake," the agency said in a bulletin. "However, sea level readings now indicate that the threat has diminished or is over for most areas. Therefore the tsunami watch issued by this center is now canceled."
