David and Samantha Cameron

Britain's Prime Minister David Cameron is planning to spend the Christmas period in Thailand with his family at the invitation of his old pal from Eton, Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva.

A Thai source said: 'I believe he is travelling to Bangkok at the end of this year around Christmas time and he's going to spend some time in Bangkok and some time at one of our beaches.'

Cameron and Abhisit were contemporaries at Eton College and Oxford, and Thai newspaper reports claim the pair have been 'buddies' ever since.

There's speculation as to Cameron and his family's itinerary, with the Phuket media in particular claiming he is likely to include a stay on one of the island's resorts, perhaps at the Amanpuri on the west coast, where various UK celebrities have chosen to hang out in the past, though the most likely choice would be Sri Panwa or Amanpuri, which are both headland resorts, a good choice for security reasons.

But UK human rights campaigners called on him to rethink as the country is in the grip of a controversial security crackdown. A recent Amnesty International report also raised concerns about torture. Labour MP Jeremy Corbyn said: "He should think very carefully about the message he is sending."

Luckily when he arrives his old buddy abhist will just be starting a 5 year holiday so he will have plenty of free time.

Your crystal ball might be wrong. You should write 'k. Abhisit may just' :)?

Strange, strange, how always the same 'control-caste' of people, speaking of them as an Elite would besmirch the word comes together for a 'chat' & 'a few drinks'. These guys just join the right clubs, come from the right blood-line and get elected right on time to mingle and cut deals with their kind they grew up with.

It makes one almost vomit, what an utter farce these "democracies" are, where always some guy gets to be Prime Minister or just some minister despite being in the party for little time, not having any real profile, just stinking rich parents & connex. Look at Obama, Mr. A., or Cameron. If you have the backing from your 'friends from school' it doesn't matter what your capable of; just how interrelated you are.

If Mr. A and Mr. C are 9th degree cousin's like Obama and Dick Cheyney, I don't know, but to get where they are the possibilities are way higher than their cliques just knows each other because they eat at the same restaurants and fly first class.

:whistling:

Look at how perfect Thailand is copying the G20 Agenda, economy wise, by giving huge tax benefits to their uncle's companies which creates budget losses all to be paid by the rest of the poor schmucks still on the work-front. Then all this 'fake' and 'instigated' terror, men in black & agent provocateur scenarios, suppression of the press, free-speech, rights to voice concern. Wait and the French style riots will come when they finally find out that also Mr. T belongs to the secret sect but has fallen in disgrace by the powers to be. Now he wants his turf back with communistic front groups which are nothing more but poor suckers believing this 'change' they bring is for real. We'll all wake up under a one world totalitarian government when those cattle pushers draw the final cards. UN takeover is agreed on the highest levels.

The fish always stinks from the head...

The elites....the Illuminati....is who you're referring to. The public are fooled into believing and going along with this false left - right paradigm when in reality both parties are controlled by the same people.

I could go on....The Council For Foreign Relations.....the Bilderberg group....The Trilateral Commission.....Goldman Sachs......the Rothschilds......etc.....etc....

Nothing changes. The power remains with the same criminal elite groups. They dictate and pass on down policy to subservient foreign governments. They're the real power brokers.

David Cameron please stay at home. By holidaying here you're showing tacit support for this dictatorial - authoritarian military dictatorship.

Conservative PM's have a bit of history here. Thatcher and General Pinochet had a long relationship of mutual admiration.

David C., coming on holiday here you might help the TAT reach there goal of 15+M tourists this year. Nothing to do with the current government here which came into power more-or-less in the same way as you: discussions, concessions and agreements aka coalition government.

The flaming description is just that, no value there.

Thanks for reminding me. The coup has nothing at all to do with David C.'s private holiday to Thailand. I'm pretty much convinced he wasn't involved :)

(edit: better English? ;) )

Funningly enough, coups are something Mrs Thatchers little boy seems to know about.whistling.gif

CAMERON IS COMING TO TOWN?

UK embassy refuses to comment on its PM's trip to Thailand

British embassy in Bangkok on Thursday refused to comment on news reports that UK Prime Minister David Cameron and family are planning to spend Christmas Holidays in Thailand.

An embassy official said the embassy will not comment on the prime minister's travelling plans.

British and Thai media have reported that Cameron is invited by Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, an old pal from Eton, to celebrate the Christimas in Thailand.

The reported plan was attacked by human rights organisations which claimed that Thailand is in the grip of controversial security crackdowns. UK's Labour MP Jeremy Corbyn said: "He (Cameron) should think very carefully about the message he is sending."

The Tory spokesman said the other day Dave has never met Mark.

Since Cameron is in his early 40’s and Abhisit is in his mid-40’s, it is presumably highly unlikely that they were bosom pals at Eton in any event. Your best mates at school tend to be your immediate contemporaries.

Anyway, nice to hear that Cameron may be living it up in LOS this Christmas while countless millions of his (and my) fellow countrymen will be consigned to a wretchedly miserable (and freezing) festive season thanks to the draconian spending cuts announced by his government last week. So much for all that “we’re all in this together” crap which they have been spouting.

People like you shouldnt be allowed to vote, you really have no understanding of the most basic economics, but just to keep you happy the DEBT will still be rising under the Tories, though the deficit will narrow by 2015.

Educate yourself by looking at how much govt. spending has risen in 13 years, by 2015 we'll only be back at 2008/9 levels as a % of GDP and you call this draconian.rolleyes.gif

YOU CANNOT SPEND MORE THEN YOU MAKE FOREVER DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

Personally, I think he is entitled to a holiday AFTER hes got the 6 billion GBP in unpaid taxes from Vodafone. That just might make Christmas seem more like a festive season for many Brits. When he gets back from his well earned rest (in part at the Thai tax payers' expense), he can recover the rest of the unpaid taxes fron UK big businesses. The UK may not then have a deficit problem after all ;)

Perhaps the Government should continue spending and spending until the country goes bankrupt. Or do you have a better suggestion?
