Police and rescue workers were called to the Ron Internet Shop inside Soi 5 off of Jomtien Beach Road after initial reports of an attempted suicide of a foreigner were received. At the scene, rescue workers attended to Mr. Ronald Lemmen aged 45 from Holland, the owner of the shop. It appeared that he had fallen from the Second Floor Balcony. What appeared to be a suicide attempt was in fact a terrible accident as explained by his wife, Khun Pailin aged 26. She explained that her husband was playing with their pet dog called Puk on the balcony when Mr. Lemmen lost his balance and fell to the ground. Mr. Lemmen sustained a broken jaw, a broken arm and other minor injuries but is expected to fully recover. Entering the premises, the officers found Ronald Lemmen, a Dutch national, age 45, was producing the material. A total of 130 CDs were confiscated along with a computer that was being used to produce them. He was charged with producing illegal lewd material for distribution and commerce. Lemmen was taken to Dongtan sub-branch police station. Immigration police say they will revoke his right to live in the Kingdom.
