Motorcycle gunman robs Las Vegas casino of $1.5 million

LAS VEGAS (BNO NEWS) -- A gunman robbed a crabs table of $1.5 million worth in chips in the Las Vegas Bellagio casino on Tuesday morning, officials said.

According to police reports, the man arrived in a motorcycle and parked it in the north valet parking area of the Bellagio. At around 3.50 a.m. local time, still wearing his helmet, he walked up to a crabs table, pulled a gun, demanded the chips, and fled.

Images taken from security cameras show the gunman wearing a black jacket, black pants, black gloves, and a full-faced helmet.

Police Lt. Clint Nichols described the robbery "about as quick as you can do it" - about two to three minutes from entry to exit - as authorities later released a 12-second video of the man running out of the casino.

The gunman was last seen on Flamingo Road on a black sports-style motorcycle. It was estimated that he took around $1.5 million worth in chips ranging from $100 to $25,000.

As authorities continue to search for the gunman, investigators believe he is the same man who robbed the Suncoast casino on December 9 of almost $20,000 from a cashier cage during a poker tournament.
