LOS ANGELES (BNO NEWS) -- "Terminator 2" Actor Edward Furlong on Tuesday was taken to jail after violating a domestic restraining order, entertainment website TMZ.com reported.

Furlong, 33, was handcuffed in a Los Angeles court at around 11.30 a.m. local time and was subsequently taken to jail following the judge's decision.

The "Terminator 2" actor, who is also playing a role in the upcoming file "The Green Hornet," was in court for a progress hearing over the alleged violation. The L.A. City Attorney reportedly told the judge that the 33-year-old actor in fact violated the restraining order filed by his estranged wife, Rachael Kneeland.

Kneeland, 26, also known as actress Rachael Bella, got a domestic restraining order against her husband in August 2010. The order required Furlong to stay at least 100 yards (approximately 91 meters) away from her.

The attorney said that the "American History X" actor approached within 50 yards (about 45 meters) to Kneeland last month and thus violated the restraining order. The judged ruled against Furlong, who was taken to jail on a $75,000 bail.

The couple married on April 19, 2006 and together have one child, Ethan Page Furlong, who was born in September 2006. Kneeland requested the restraining order after Furlong left threatening voicemails addressed to her.
