dynamo74 Posted February 11, 2011 Share Posted February 11, 2011 Hi. I have been living in Pattaya (actually Jomtien) for just over a year. I am married to a farang man (we are both from North East Scotland) I have really struggled to meet western women to socialise with. I am in my late 30s and am seriously bored of the usual male pub banter, etc, etc, etc. and just having that as a social option. I probably don't go out as much as I should but to be honest I don't really know where to go anymore to find women that are here (for one thing), on my wave length, and so on. It's not that I don't want to socialise with Asian women here, as I have and do, but it's good to meet and relax with people where you don't have to think about the language and have come from a similar background to you. I know there are women living in and around Pattaya as they post here from time to time, just exactly who, tho escapes me at the moment. Around Ocean Beach marina area, there seem to be quite a number of farangs too who belong to the boat club. Can understand your situation. Even when surrounded by one's own, there are few one "connects" with at a deeper level, so it's made even more difficult by the language/culture aspects. It's difficult to find other women to talk to that have similar backgrounds in Pattaya which makes going out a bore at times. I'll pm you my details. I'm italian and I will move to Pattaya in the next months with my family for my housband job and looking for some informations I found this topic. I already spent many hours on the web to find some italian or western women living in Pattaya but I found nothing. So I'm happy to find this topic. I have a lot of doubts about where the best place to live in Pattaya and which is the best school for my sons. Any mothers there?? I have 2 sons, 8 months and 4 years old. We're thinking about international schools. My husband will work in Amphur Pluangdaeng area but we want live near the see. There're many adds where You can see when and where a wide range of occupations take place, from art clubs,cooking courses etc Concerning sport You have everything from badminton, tennis, bowling etc I'm into badminton. I have two teenage kids at school and also not into the whole PILC thing so i will also been keen to meet some new friends. Hi Dynamo74 i relate to your post , I’m westerner married living in patayya for over one year. Husband travels on business. Many of the social clubs just not my thing either.
